guy wants to have an e-mail sent to his cell phone address ONLY when the
"disk space low" alert is sent. Can someone give me the quick and dirty
rundown on how I would only have this one alert sent to a specific e-mail
address? All other alerts he just wants in his e-mail box.

Create two operators for him called John Doe (e-mail) and John Doe (pager).
Obviously, use his name instead of John Doe. On the alert rules for Exchange
that send the notifications, use the e-mail operator. Create a response to
the disk space low event rule to send a notification to the pager operator.
Be very careful how you do this going forward. He will probably start to
come up with all sorts of other rules where he wants a page. The obvious
answer will be to keep setting notifications on the event rules. This will
get unmanageable real fast.
If that happens, create a new alert rule in the Exchange group. Tell it to
look for events of Critical Error and above (as opposed to Error and above
which most alert rules do). Send the notification to the pager operator.
Then go set all the event rules that should send a page to generate a
Critical Error alert instead of just an Error. This will be far easier to
manage moving forward.
