Adding DCAMs for Redundancy/ Outside the Firewall

I have MOM up and running and all is well. Now I want to add 2 DCAMs to my configuration. One for redundancy and one to live outside the firewall to monitor those servers.

Is it possible to add a redundant DCAM after the fact (I have Agents deployed to about 20 servers) ?

Also is the third DCAM for the DMZ even a possible configuration??

When adding a new DCAM into your MOM Configuration group, in the next scan, the Agent will add an entry on the Registry to use this new DCAM for redundancy.

Note: Keep in mind, the Agents will send their information to the preferred server (the DCAM which is configured to be "primary").

For your second question - it can be done, but you will need to play out with your Firewall - to enable port 1433 and the secure / unsecured MOM protocol.

I would also recommend that you install the DCAM inside the Firewall and then move it outside the Firewall afterwards.
