What does the OnePointAuxilia process do?

Can anyone tell me what the OnePointAuxilia process does?

We have one server that suddenly spawned over 100 versions of this process, and the OnePoint service wouldn't stop when I tried to stop it. I was able to use a different program to shut down the OnePoint.exe thread manually - and it closed all the OnePointAuxilia threads.

I'm guessing if I can find what it is - I'll have a better chance of figuring out why it happened.

It's used in MOM 2000 for two things:

  1. At agent install time to install a few components

  2. When the OnePoint service terminates unexpectedly (crashes) - it is spawned to make sure that the OnePoint service can be restarted. (it waits some time, tries to kill the onepoint service if it is still running, and tries to start it)
