Monitoring NT Backup

I want to monitor the Application log for all NT Backup event errors. Easy enough to do - just create a Processing rule that looks for Source NTBackup and Event Type is error or higher. Or do information to see everything.

But what do I do with the Rule? I can't really create an attribute, as almost any Windows 2000 Server has backup installed, but not all are running backups using it. I just want to manually add servers into the group if they are using it to backup. Anyone done this or got any ideas?

What servers this is deployed to will depend on who is in the Computer Group to which the Processing Rule Group containing the Rule is bound. If you only wish to monitor certain servers, you need to create a Computer Group containing those servers only and bind it to your Processing Rule Group containing your backup rule.
