HTTP 500 Errors in MOM Web Console

My web console seems to be bust (error 500 all the time). How do I go about reinstalling it ? If I rerun a setup and choose custom then all items are selected and greyed and I don’t want to wipe over my existing config across the board, just reinstall the web console?

Before you try re-installing, check to make sure that the
<Inetpub>\wwwroot\WebConsole directory has the following permissions, etc:

- Size on disk approx. 2.7 MB (if it's a lot smaller there might be something missing)
- "Read" directory permissions (in IIS)
- IIS Execute Permissions = Scripts only
- Enable default documents: Default.html, Default.asp, iisstart.asp
- NTFS Web Sharing as "OnePointOperations" (not really necessary)

One possible way to re-install, without re-installing, is to simply copy the
WebConsole directory from another MOM installation. I don't believe there is anything in the ASP or scripts in this directory that are machine-specific.  I haven't tried this yet (as a matter of fact I just now thought it up) so I have no certainty that it works.

After some more research I believe at this point that what you need to do to correct this is to remove the MOM web console from the Dcam and then remove IIS reboot the system and add back IIS and then the MOM console and the reboot the system again. This should restore this function.

Sorry about this but our tests showed problems if you did not remove both and reinstall them to get the console functioning.
