One of the Event Rules within the "Operations Manager 2005" Management Pack is called the "
File Transfer Response - Default global virtual directory not configured" rule. If this rule is enabled and no virtual directory is configured then Event ID 22099 is generated in the Application Log.

The URL configured actually defines which virtual directory on the file transfer server is used for file transfer responses. If you don't use file transfer responses and the Microsoft Base Security Analyzer Management Pack you can disable this rule as follows:

  1. Load the MOM Administrator Console (from the "Start" menu select "All Programs | Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 | Administrator Console").

  2. Navigate to "Microsoft Operations Manager (server_name) | Management Packs | Rule Groups | Microsoft Operations Manager (enabled) | Operations Manager 2005 (enabled) | Server (enabled) | Event Rules".

  3. Double-click on the "File Transfer Response - Default global virtual directory not configured" rule in the right hand window.

  4. Uncheck the "This rule is enabled" checkbox on the "Event Rule Properties" screen.

  5. Click the "OK" button

If you want to define a default virtual directory:

  1. Load the MOM Administrator Console (from the "Start" menu select "All Programs | Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 | Administrator Console").

  2. Navigate to "Microsoft Operations Manager (server_name) | Administration | Global Settings".

  3. Double-click on the "Web Addresses" Global Setting Type in the right hand window.

  4. Type the relevant address in the "File Transfer Server Address:" field.

  5. Click the "OK" button
