| I've
installed SUS and it's working great....as long as you have local admin
rights on the client side. The options are limited for non-admin users, to
say the least. The value for 'AUOptions'
must be equal to '4'.
I've yet to test that option with 'NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers'
set to '1'.
I'd appreciate it if anyone has this working, to just drop a line saying so.

Downloading occurs via anonymous connection to the SUS server. All systems
can do this effectively unless you have played with the security settings of
IIS or the content directories. The only admin privileges required are to
administer the SUS options and to approve updates as the updates are
downloaded and installed using the system context.
It would be pretty silly if every client computer had to have admin
privileges in order to download it's updates from the SUS server.

The current version doesn't allow any interaction with the Automatic Updates
user interface for non-admin users, and the only way to install updates for
non-admin users is to configure Automatic Updates to do scheduled installs.
Microsoft are looking at providing the ability for non-admin users to
interact with AU in future versions.
