Automatically Approving Updates

Despite setting automatic approval of new versions, I still have to execute their approval manually. I’ve selected obtaining upgrades under the schedule which works fine. However, the new upgrades have the status 'not selected' and I have to manually approve them even though in 'Set Options' I’ve selected 'Automatically approve new version'. How can I configure SUS to automatically approve updates?

This is actually the expected functionality of the current version. Although you can schedule sychronizations, and you can specify that 'updates to previously approved items' are automatically approved, you still have to manually approve new updates.

I found a great VB Script to auto approve new SUS updates. Depending on the available bandwidth just start this script after SUS the synchronisation as a scheduled Task:
