I'm beginning to
upgrade from DM 3.6.2 to DM 3.7 on my test TMR. I've installed the 3.6.x -> 3.7
upgrade patch, and now am trying to install patch 1. Every time I try I get the
dreaded "something went wrong" message for FILE1.PKT.
I've tried
reinstalling the patch, restarting oserv, and re-downloading the patch, all with
no success. I don't see any errors other than the one mentioned above. Anybody
see this before?
Environment is NT
4.0 sp6a, FW 3.7.1 + patches 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8, DM 3.7.

Try checking the FILE1.PKT by issuing "tar
-tvf 37-DMN-0001.tar" and
most likely FILE1.PKT might have been corrupted. If that does not work remove
the patch, download it once again from the web and go through the entire process
of importing it into SIS (you might also want to try using the traditional
install method).
Something to watch out for is the mode you use to transfer file from your
desktop to the TMR. Ensure that the patch tar file has been copied correctly to
the TMR when you ftp it from your desktop to the TMR.
In this case it turned out that by using tar instead of WinZip to unpack the
file fixed the problem.
