Once again I am delighted yet humbled to be re-awarded as a MVP for Enterprise Client Management for the 12th consecutive year.

Thank you to my friends, family, colleagues, fellow MVPs and of course YOU the community for your support in 2014, a year from a personal point of view I’m glad to see the back of.

I’m hoping that this year I can finally share with you an idea I’ve always dreamed about and now seems to be finally becoming a reality ...

Using CrashPlan for Backups

With the ever increasing amount of data I find myself gathering and wanting to retain there’s also the added headache of how do to backup it all up?

Backups are one of those annoying things that you know you need to do but can’t always find time to do them.  On the other hand you always find that after you’ve deleted/ changed something you wish you hadn’t then spend ages hunting for a backup sometime realising that you don’t have one.

New “Success with Enterprise Mobility” Series of Microsoft Webcasts – first tomorrow

I received a “heads up” from Brad Anderson over the weekend about a series of 4 new webcasts coming up related to “Success with Enterprise Mobility”. From what we saw at the MVP Summit you are definitely going to want to check these out to learn more about Microsoft’s strategy which to me is a game changer.

With Tech Ed Europe fast approaching there is a whole team of folks beavering away right now to make this the best Tech Ed ever.

Myself and a whole bunch of other folks are busy testing the Hands On Labs/ Instructor Led Labs that that will be available for delegates to run through.

Default logging variables unexpectedly used during task sequence in System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager

Symptoms:

Consider the following scenario:

•You set logging variables in the registry on a client that’s running the Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager client. For example, you set the logging variables as follows:

◦MaxHistory: 10

◦MaxSize: 5,000,000
