Well 2014 got off to a fantastic start for me.

Not only were we in Lisbon (where we dream of emigrating to if anyone is looking for ConfigMgr guy ;-) but I also received the following email from Microsoft.

It goes without saying how humbled, pleased and honoured I am to be renewed for the 11th consecutive year and I want to thank Microsoft and you the community without whom none of this would be possible.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Thank you from the FAQShop Team

‘Tis that time of year again (the year’s seem to get shorter each year). 2013 has certainly be an “interesting” year for FAQShop and me personally both major highs and lows.

One of the highs is once again traffic has increased from a year ago and it gives me a warm glowy feeling (especially now it’s winter) to know that more and more folks are visiting the site and hopefully finding the information useful.

ConfigMgr 2007 – KB Article 2733615 Updated

Microsoft has just updated the following KB Article which includes a hotfix:

An update for the bootstrap certificate in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Asset Intelligence is available

Symptoms

In Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, the issuing certificate that System Center Online uses to validate the bootstrap certificate expires in September 2012. After this date, System Center Online does not recognize the bootstrap certificate.

Note The current hardcoded Asset Intelligence (AI) bootstrap certificate is valid until June 19, 2015.

Per-computer variables for imported computers are not read in System Center 2012 R2 Configuration ManagerSummary:

Per-computer task sequence variables that are defined for imported computers are filtered out of client policies. This prevents the variables from being read during task sequence execution. This problem does not affect per-computer variables that are defined for existing clients.
