Problem:
I am trying to synchronise my Asset Intelligence catalog manually but it fails with the following error in the “AIUpdateSvc.log“
Asset Intelligence Catalog Sync Service Warning 0: WebException trying to enroll: Status = NameResolutionFailure
Asset Intelligence Catalog Sync Service Warning 0: Error attempting sync - The remote name could not be resolved: 'go.microsoft.com'
Resolution:
Check that DNS is working on your server. If it is check that a Proxy has been configured as in this case the proxy hadn’t been configured and that is why it was failing.
