Problem:
When I try to run a Task Sequence I’m seeing the following error:
Failed to Run Task Sequence An error occurred while retrieving policy for this computer (0x80072EE7). For more information, please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator.
Resolution:
Make sure the machine has an IP address/ is connected to the network (Press F8 to start a Command Prompt and run ipconfig). In this case the network cable wasn’t fully inserted into the machine and as a result it didn’t have an IP address.
