When I try to run my Task Sequence it’s fails and displays the following error message:
Task Sequence: <name> has failed with the error code (0x8007054B). For more information, please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator
If I look in the smsts.log I see the following:
Failed to run the action: Error in the task sequence. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. (Error: 8007054B; Source: Windows)
Then a few lines later
The execution of the group (Gather Logs and StateStore on Failure) has failed and the execution has been aborted. An action failed. Operation aborted (Error: 80004004; Source: Windows) Failed to run the last action: Error in the task sequence. Execution of task sequence failed. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. (Error: 8007054B; Source: Windows)
Verify that the password for the “DomainAdminPassword” has been entered correctly in the MDT database (on the “Details” tab). In this case it hadn’t and that’s what was causing the issue.
