I’ve used the Package Definition File Wizard in ConfigMgr 2012 to create a Program from a package definition file. However, when a client runs the Package the command line is incomplete and so the installation fails.
If look at the properties of the Program in the ConfigMgr Console for some reason the command line is incomplete.
This is a known issue as documented in KB article 2677999 “The System Center 2012 Package Definition File Wizard truncates the program command line to 63 characters“
It seems the Package Definition Wizard currently can only support a command line up to 63 characters, anything longer than this it truncates. So for now if you use the Package Definition Wizard to import a Package just double check the command line for program is correct once you’ve imported it.
